The invention provides a self-service bill paying system based on radio frequency identification. The self-service bill paying system comprises a control computer, radio frequency identification tags,a radio frequency identification reader-writer, a display module and a self-service bill paying device. The radio frequency identification tags stores commodity information, and each commodity is provided with a radio frequency identification tag. The radio frequency identification reader-writer is connected with the control computer in a communication mode for identifying information of the radio frequency identification tags. The display module is electrically connected to the control computer, and the self-service bill paying device is electrically connected to the control computer. The control computer is used for judging whether the commodities are expired or not. According to the self-service bill paying system based on the radio frequency identification, the radio frequency identification tags are introduced on the basis of an existing self-service bill paying device, and the shelf life of the commodities is judged through the recorded commodity information, so that the commodity quality of commercial retail enterprises is effectively guaranteed, and customers are avoided to buy expired commodities which endanger the health and safety of the customers.
