The invention discloses a soft driver for assisting extension and abduction of the 
thumb of a human hand and a pair of gloves. The soft driver comprises an inner-layer 
silicone tube, an outer-layer 
silicone tube, 
Kevlar fiber wires and two sections of fiberglass cloth, wherein the front end of the inner-layer 
silicone tube is sealed, and an opening is formed in the rear end and is used for connecting a pneumatic or hydraulic driving device; one 
Kevlar fiber wire is wound on the part, which corresponds to a metacarpal bone of the 
thumb, of the outer wall of the inner-layer 
silicone tube in a single-screw way, and the other 
Kevlar fiber wire is wound on the part, which corresponds to a phalanx of the 
thumb, of the outer wall of the inner-layer 
silicone tube in a double-screw way; the two sections of fiberglass cloth are both adhered to the side, which departs from fingers, of the inner-layer 
silicone tube, and positions of the two sections of fiberglass cloth respectively correspond to aconnecting joint of the metacarpal bone and a 
proximal phalanx of the thumb and a connecting joint of the 
proximal phalanx and a distal phalanx; the Kevlar fiber wires and the fiberglass cloth are fixed to the outer wall of the inner-layer silicone tube by the outer-layer silicone tube. By carrying the soft driver on the gloves, extension and abduction 
rehabilitation training of the thumb can beassisted.
