The invention relates to a heating unit of an 
infrared electric 
hot plate and a preparation method thereof. The 
infrared electric 
hot plate is made up of conductive material 
ranging from 1 percent to 30 percent, heat conduction material 
ranging from 30 percent to 92 percent, 
polymer adhesive ranging from 5 percent to 50 percent and toughener ranging from 2 percent to 10 percent.The preparation method is as followings: the front part of the heating unit is made through thermofixation or 
hot press molding, then under the protection of 
nitrogen or 
inert gas, the front part is carbonized for 3 to 12 hours at a high temperature ranging from 900 DEG C to 2200 DEGC, thus obtaining the heating unit of an 
infrared electric 
hot plate. The preparation is simple with low cost.The infrared electric hot plate, using 6-380V alternating or direct currents, can directly produce infrared 
radiation with high efficiency of energy conversion. Being a heating unit, the infrared electric hot plate can produce infrared 
radiation both on the upper surface and the lower surface dispensing with a substrate, which greatly increases 
radiation area and improves 
heating efficiency. As a novel infrared heating unit material, the invention not only can be extensively applied to technics such as heating, baking and heat treatment in 
agriculture and industry, but also can be applied to 
medical care and heating in winter, etc., with important application value and extensive application prospect.
