The invention relates to a strain capable of producing 1,4-beta-D-
xylanase and an application of the strain and can effectively solve the problem about production of 1,4-beta-D-
xylanase to meet demands in industry. The method comprises steps as follows: a culture medium for 
enzyme production by 
fermentation is inoculated with the strain capable of producing 1,4-beta-D-
xylanase, a 
fermentation broth of 1,4-beta-D-xylanase is obtained and centrifuged, 
ammonium sulfate is slowly dropwise added to a liquid supernatant and salted out overnight, a 
salting-out liquid is centrifuged, precipitates are taken and dissolved with a 
buffer solution, packing is performed, a 
buffer solution is taken as a balance solution for DAE FF gel 
filtration chromatography, 
active components are collected, packing is performed again, linear 
elution is performed with a balance 
buffer solution, 
active components are collected, the 
mass concentration of 
ammonium sulfate in the 
active components is adjusted to 40%, packing is performed, an 
ammonia sulfate buffer solution is taken as a balance solution for linear 
elution, active components are collected, salt is removed through 
dialysis, and 
dry powder of 1,4-beta-D-xylanase is obtained through freezing and suction 
drying. The strain capable of producing 1,4-beta-D-xylanase is a novel strain 
Trichoderma citrinoviride HL28-5 and has the 
efficacy of producing 1,4-beta-D-xylanase, and a new way of producing 1,4-beta-D-xylanase is exploited.
