The invention discloses a single-suggested operation area hydroelectric generating set 
active power control method, which belongs to the technical field of 
hydroelectric generation control. An automatic power generation 
control function is divided into a 
power station-level AGC module, a unit-level PLC module and a unit-level 
speed regulator module, then tasks are allocated, and parameters, assignment relationships and dependency relationships are determined; and an intermediate table containing all possible distribution 
modes of AGC control units and corresponding combined operation intervalsare established, the optimal unit distribution mode of the units which are put into AGC control is determined, an AGC active distribution value of a single unit is calculated, and 
active power control on hydroelectric generating sets in a single suggested operation area is carried out. The method is suitable for 
hydropower stations of which intervals are sequentially divided into a vibration area1, a limited operation area, a vibration area 2 and a suggested operation area 
unit type from low to high. The single-unit AGC active power distribution value and the single-unit AGC active 
power setting value of each unit can be quickly calculated according to the total active 
power setting value of the 
hydropower station, and meanwhile, the operation requirements of the units for avoiding a vibration area and a limited operation area are met.
