The invention provides a method for separating P-hydroxyl 
ethyl cinnamate from raspberry leaves. The method for separating the P-hydroxyl 
ethyl cinnamate from the raspberry leaves comprises the following steps: heating, rotating and extracting raspberry leaves for 3-5 times with ethyl 
alcohol water bath at the temperature of 60 DEG C, putting extracting solutions together, and carrying out vacuum concentration, so that extract is obtained; adding water into the extract and dissolving, extracting with 
ethyl acetate, carrying out 
silica gel column chromatography separation on extract liquor, carrying out 
medium pressure column chromatography separation firstly, wherein 
petroleum ether and 
ethyl acetate are adopted as eluant, carrying out gradient eluting by adopting the 
ethyl acetate and methyl 
alcohol, carrying out a domestic rabbit 
in vitro bowel movement experiment, and screening out components with strong anti-
diarrhea activity; carrying out low pressure 
silica gel column chromatography separation purification on the components, carrying out gradient eluting on 
chloroform and methyl 
alcohol, putting the same components together, then carrying out column 
chromatography separation on the component, screened out through the domestic rabbit 
in vitro bowel movement experiment, with the strongest inhibiting effect by adopting an inverse ODS (
ozone depleting substance) filler open column, and eluting with methyl alcohol-water, so that the P-hydroxyl 
ethyl cinnamate compound is obtained. The P-hydroxyl ethyl cinnamate compound is obtained from the raspberry leaves for the first time, has 
intestinal peristalsis resisting and anti-
diarrhea effect and can be used for preparing a new natural anti-
diarrhea medicine.
